2024 – A Year of Building Dreams, Communities, and Futures

Written by CCB | Dec 24, 2024 7:06:56 PM

As 2024 comes to a close, Coastal Community Builders (CCB) reflects on a year filled with milestones, incredible growth, and meaningful contributions to the Central Coast. Together with our talented team, trusted trade partners, and vibrant communities, we’ve built more than homes—we’ve shaped the future of this extraordinary region.

Here’s what it took to make this year extraordinary:

  • Concrete: Over 18,200 cubic yards poured—enough to build a sidewalk stretching 130 miles, from Grover Beach to Los Angeles!
  • Solar Power: 2,010 solar panels installed, offsetting 2,500 tons of CO2 annually—the equivalent of planting 41,000 trees.
  • Nails: Approximately 7.3 million nails, stretching over 230 miles—the distance from Grover Beach to San Diego.
  • Landscaping: Over 4,000 new plants added, transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant, sustainable environments.
  • Walls: 2,730 framed walls provided the sturdy backbones of our homes.
  • Soil: We relocated over 350,000 cubic yards of soil—enough to fill 106 Olympic swimming pools!

The Ripple Effect: Strengthening the Central Coast

At Coastal Community Builders, every home we build reflects our unwavering commitment to the people and communities we serve. In 2024, our projects supported:

  • 21,840 hours of meticulous framing, bringing the structure of every home to life.
  • 14,560 hours of electrical work, powering homes with expertise and care.
  • 7,280 hours of landscaping, transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful and sustainable environments.
  • 5,824 hours of painting, adding the finishing touches that make a house a home.

Beyond these key trades, thousands of hours were contributed by skilled plumbers, stucco experts, roofers, and others, demonstrating the collective power and dedication of the Central Coast’s workforce.

In addition to these efforts, our team of roughly 70 Central Coast-based employees played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of every project. From planning and design to construction management and community engagement, their contributions were essential in delivering thoughtfully designed homes and vibrant communities.

Altogether, these efforts amounted to an estimated 261,118 hours of labor in 2024 alone. Through direct wages and the ripple effects of local spending, this labor contributed to an estimated $20.25 million in economic impact across the Central Coast.

Through this collective effort, Coastal Community Builders continues to create homes that foster connection, growth, and a sense of belonging for families while strengthening the local economy in meaningful ways.

Our Legacy: 35+ Years of Impact

Since our founding, Coastal Community Builders has proudly delivered 3,482 homes, contributing to vibrant communities from Solvang to Paso Robles. Over the past 35+ years, CCB’s developments have generated an estimated $2.1 billion in total economic impact through wages, materials, and community investments.

This legacy reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and creating spaces where families and communities can thrive.

Looking Ahead to 2025

The future is bright! While we officially opened the doors to 182 homes this year, we’re already hard at work building another 153 homes that will welcome new homeowners in the months ahead. This includes the highly anticipated Palladium in Grover Beach, the first in CCB’s new Signature Series collection of homes, and a cornerstone in Grover Beach’s exciting plans to reimagine its coastal waterfront.

With new projects breaking ground in Grover Beach, Avila Canyon, Templeton, Santa Maria, Nipomo, and more, we’re thrilled to continue creating spaces where families and communities thrive. Stay tuned as we share the next chapter of building dreams and connections on the Central Coast!

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to another year of building dreams, creating impact, and shaping the future—together.
