A Signature Celebration of Community and Coastal Living

On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Coastal Community Builders hosted the official groundbreaking ceremony for Trinity, a Signature Series Development that marks a bold new chapter for Grover Beach’s West End. Set just 375 feet from the shoreline, Trinity will bring 23 refined coastal homes to one of the most walkable, view-rich, and evolving beachfront districts on California’s Central Coast.

Under a sky just clearing from the morning fog, guests arrived at 197 W. Grand Avenue to celebrate the launch of this four-story community that will include 16 west-facing townhomes, 7 townhome-style condominiums, and 2,500 square feet of thoughtfully planned commercial space.

The event marked the beginning of something more than construction—it was the celebration of a vision years in the making.

A Strong Turnout from Local Leaders and Future Homebuyers

The ceremony welcomed community members, future homeowners, local officials, and the Coastal Community Builders team, who gathered to reflect on the momentum of Grover Beach’s West End and the role Trinity will play in its continued transformation.

The program began with opening remarks from Cam Boyd, CEO of Coastal Community Builders, who thanked the city and community for their support and shared his enthusiasm for the future of the neighborhood. He was followed by an inspiring lineup of guest speakers, including:

    • Robert Robert, Mayor Pro Tem of Grover Beach

    • Matt Bronson, Grover Beach City Manager

    • Dawn Ortiz-Legg, San Luis Obispo County Supervisor

    • Andrea Chmelik, A representative from California State Assemblymember Dawn Addis’ office

    • Gary Grossman, President of Coastal Community Builders

Each speaker offered heartfelt perspectives on what Trinity represents—not just a new housing development, but a meaningful step forward in realizing the City of Grover Beach’s long-term vision for a vibrant, walkable, and connected West End. From thoughtful residential design to community-focused mixed-use planning, Trinity reflects the city’s directives for responsible coastal development.

The event highlighted the close collaboration between Coastal Community Builders and the City of Grover Beach, and the shared excitement for bringing this next chapter of growth and revitalization to life.

Golden Shovels and a Shared Vision for Grover Beach’s Future

Just after 11:00 AM, golden shovels in hand, dignitaries stepped forward for the ceremonial groundbreaking, surrounded by guests, press, and future residents. A light drizzle the night before gave way to a bright moment—one that symbolized far more than the start of construction.

The day wasn’t just about breaking ground on a new development—it was about celebrating a shared vision. The City of Grover Beach has long prioritized the revitalization of its downtown and beachside corridor through thoughtful, mixed-use development that enhances livability and walkability, draws small businesses, and creates meaningful new housing opportunities near the coast.

Trinity is a direct response to that vision—an intentional, well-designed community that embraces the city’s goals for a vibrant, connected, and accessible West End.

“We’re proud to be building what the City has planned for and prioritized,” said Cam Boyd, CEO of Coastal Community Builders. “This isn’t just our vision—it’s Grover Beach’s vision. And we’re honored to help bring it to life.”

Following the ceremonial photo ops and recognition presentations, guests enjoyed light bites and refreshments, explored project renderings, and spoke with the CCB team about what’s next for Trinity and the broader West End.
